Boston is just big enough that I feel like I don’t know anyone outside my own circle.  Meet the woman who allows all of us to get to know each other just a little better.

Name: Lisa Pierpont

Occupation: Founder/Editor-in-Chief, Boldfacers.com

Where did you grow up? Back Bay and Weston

What inspires your sense of style? I tend to be drawn to one-of-a-kind statement pieces that I can mix and match with basics.

What is your idea of perfect happiness? Inner and global peace. (Lofty goals, I know.)

Favorite article of clothing or go to outfit? I think of jewelry as extra limbs on my body. Everyday for the past three years, I’ve been wearing two Jill Platner necklaces, a Jeanine Payer diamond cross pendant and a black pearl strung on a leather cord that I had designed in Saint Barth. I’ve been known to refuse to take them off even for an X-ray.

Favorite shopping hunts in the city? Barneys, Intermix, Matsu, Stel’s, Dress, Calypso, All Saints and Cotelac.

Blogs or websites you go to for inspiration? I am obsessed with Netaporter.com. Everything they do — from editorial to e-commerce — is impeccably executed.

Dream career/job/assignment? I’m living it right now with Boldfacers.com!

Anything that you avoid wearing? Puffed sleeves. Snow White couldn’t even pull them off.

Favorite book? Crossing to Safety by Wallace Stegner

Beauty secrets? Cetaphil facial cleanser

Pet peeves? It takes every ounce of strength in my body to restrain myself from choke-holding people who talk during a movie; the sound of someone eating a banana; and leaving drawers open.

The quality you most admire in a man? Integrity — it’s the stuff of leaders and lovers.

The quality you most admire in a woman? Same as a man.

If one word could describe you, what would it be? Curious

What defines success for you? Living to your full potential. Taking educated but free-spirited risks. Enjoying the ride.

Perfect day in Boston?
Oh, so many ideas! I’d eat chocolate chip pancakes at a diner (The Breakfast Club is a favorite)…a morning hike in Vermont, pick up a smoothie at the Warren General Store…apparate to Barneys for a no-budget-required shopping spree…tea at the Bristol Lounge…a massage at the Mandarin Oriental Spa…dinner at Hamersley’s…some sort of cultural injection (an American Repertory Theatre play, Boston Ballet performance, author reading, lecture, concert, etc.).
