Lipstick and perfume

brightlips_Melbourne_1110blog1

I’ll get dressed and will feel put together and just plain sassy.  Then I meet up with my mom, we kiss and she’s say: Ou pa senti bon! Ou pa mem met fa. Which is Haitian Creole for:  No, perfume?  No lipstick.? In my family, lipstick and perfume seem to be the book ends to a good outfit.  I never leave home without them on, especially when I’m meeting up with my mom. Or sister. Or aunts. Or cousins.  Even when I meet up with my brother, he’ll say.  Ou pa senti bon. And of course, I can never chastise him since he always smells nice and manly.

lol my mother is the same way. Its usually, no makeup or earrings? It can be slightly irritating but I know she means well. Some days I just feel like wearing my face bare. I also wanted to say thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope you have fun with makeup!!

I see the potential for some fabulous t-shirts with these catch phrases. I never leave the house without being properly armed with lipstick and perfume- c'est pas possible!
