Emily Muller

I met Emily Muller at a small store that once lived in the South End, called Looc.  Emily worked there on Sundays and since that was one of my dedicated Style Hunting days, I would go to Looc to see the new togs before making my way from the South End to the Back Bay.

We began our acquaintance by talking about life, about her plans on going to graduate school, and about how she likes to sew.  Now, when someone tells you they like to cook, you don’t think they are a chef like say, Jody Adams.  Same, when someone tells you they enjoy sewing, you imagine clumsily made pajama pants.  Emmy however, is a designer; she doesn’t just sew.  She’s a designer who dreams and executes a military and hunting inspired collection in smoke color, olives and blues.  This is a woman who pays attention to detail, as was reflected in many of her pieces at her debut collection at Boston Fashion Week 2010.
