Nice Shoes
I never quite know how people will react when I ask if I can take their photos. 99.99% of the time, I get a positive response, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not terrified each and every time I go up to strangers. Oy. Terrifying, I tell you! It’s like jumping in a lake of cold water though. It’s best to jump in rather than trying to decide whether or not to approach people.
On this occasion, I attended Boston Magazine’s Best of 2011 party. I went up to these dapper folks, and wouldn’t you know it, they were more than happy to have me take a picture of their shoes. You’ll see many shoes in this exhibit, and the reason for that, is that they make an outfit. As wonderful as the gentleman on the right looks, his outfit would fall flatter than a week old glass of soda if he had worn, say, athletic sneakers.
On a note, notice the pocket square! I’m such a fan of pocket squares.
