Madrid!

Madrid!Madrid!Madrid!  The first time I went to Madrid was eons ago.  When I was living in France, my roommates and I boarded a bus from Marseille aaallll the way to Madrid.  Man! That was an interminable bus ride of 15 hours…..ok, maybe it was a 7 hour bus ride, but it felt much longer than that. That first time in Madrid,  I remember spending way too much time at the Prado (and Zara too) and ate way too many churros.  This time around,  I didn’t even have one churro. (Trust me, I’m no saint, the line at Chocolatería San Ginés was so long each time we went, that we simply gave up).

We landed very early last Friday and after dropping our bags at our hotel we headed off to Mercado San Miguel for yummy tortilla and pintxos.  Of course, we embibbed in cava and vino tinto…it was not yet noon, but don’t judge me, I’m on vacation.  More photos to come! In the meantime, enjoy this photo we took while ambling about town.

Deborah–Dope! And you know what, the words came but then I had to recheck just to be sure, the words were indeed what I meant them to be. But I figure my readers are a smart bunch.Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile
